Seedlip, the world’s first non-alcoholic spirits. Solving the dilemma of ‘What to drink when you’re not drinking’.
This non-alcoholic spirit alternative from Seedlip is one of the most innovative products we’ve seen for a long time. It’s made like a gin with botanicals, but is definitely not a gin. The predominant flavour is clove rather than juniper, and, most importantly, it has no alcohol! Perfect if you’re a designated driver or you’re not drinking at the moment.
Creator Ben Branson got bored of the sweet, sugary, childish mocktails, that have been offered as a non-alcoholic drink and decided to start experimenting with his own herbs and a small copper pot. Inspired by the Art of Distillation, a 17th century recipe book for alcoholic and non-alcoholic medicines using herbs and spices, he combined six botanicals to make Seedlip Spice 94: allspice, grapefruit, lemon peel, cardamom, American oak and cascarilla bark.
When you mix it with tonic or ginger ale, it really wakes the Spirit up. You’re going to get something that has good levels of spice, but still nicely balanced with some of the slightly drier astringent notes of the bark and the nice zesty top notes in the citrus.
